It was an especially happy birthday this year for Funky Fred, whose
69th on July 4 coincided with the end of an intense six-days in a row
culminating in an excellent performance with his New JBs at
Jazz à Viennne. He
shared the evening there with the Earth Wind and Fire Experience featuring Al McKay and his compadres
George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic.
